Its 6:21 AM, and I am looking out over a group of people, some half a sleep, some walking, some reading, most praying this morning. We have been at is since 4 AM. It is a daily thing now. A group of us getting together early to seek God. What everyone is praying for, well I don’t know. The goal is souls, and praying our church as a whole to move into a closer relationship with God. Some call it radical, and maybe in this day and age it is. But at one time, it was the norm. People rising up early to seek the face of God. History shows us that whenever there was a great move of God, it was due to people denying themselves, their fleshly desires, and moving into extended prayer and times of fasting. It starts with a few, which has happened here, and it slowing begins to grow. The prayers of a few ignite a flame in others and numbers grow seeking God and His Kingdom. God moves, revival in the hearts of men and women take place. People come to Christ. That is our desire. The Word of God states that “the prayers of a righteous man avails much.” Righteous, meaning Holy. A holy man accomplishes much. An obedient man accomplishes much. Prayer without holiness is talking into the wind. That is another of our prayer also. That men will live out all the Word. Shun evil, live for Christ. Love the Lord our God first, the way He states it in His Word. Seeking Him with a repentant heart, holy, walking in obedience, putting him first. Being a Christ like example.
